Colorado’s cannabis industry is monitored by the Marijuana Enforcement Division. This agency is charged with regulating the commercial cannabis industry managing licensing, compliance, and updated regulations.

Colorado Track and Trace: Colorado’s Marijuana Enforcement Division uses Metrc as the state track-and-trace system used to track cannabis activity across the distribution chain from cultivation -> manufacturing -> distribution.

State Licensing Authorities:

The Marijuana Enforcement Division manages licensing within the state to a degree. While they are the governing body, local authorities decide on whether or not to allow cannabis businesses to operate in their jurisdiction. MED attempts to maintain a list of these locations and their stipulations for cannabis licenses.
